So the highlighted hair will process faster than the virgin strand next to it. In order not to over process the light hair, we protect it with protection cream, but it is impossible to avoid getting the protection cream on the virgin hair. When this type of hair is rinsed out the virgin hair may not be completely processed. Therefore you many still need to blowdry highlighted hair after it's been Japanese straightened.
